(aye-leeks) is a women's fashion label in its fourth season. The brand, created and designed by Matthew Williams, is New York-based with manufacturing in Italy. Williams, who lives in NYC but has deep roots in Venice Beach, is constantly inspired by skate culture and the lifestyle of Southern California.

One of the eight finalists for the prestigious 2016 LVMH Prize, ALYX is a harmonious blend of high and low. With nods to his upbringing and street-inspired designs, Williams adds elements of luxury to solidify his commitment to producing high-quality garments through Italian fabrications.

ALYX is Williams's first solo project after exploring a multitude of creative pursuits, including art direction, clothing design, video direction, and photography. He is most well known for his work with iconic photographer Nick Knight and SHOWstudio, as well as his time spent as creative director and consultant to Lady Gaga and Kanye West.

Although Williams takes pride in helping craft visual identities within the fashion and entertainment industries, ALYX is the passion project that serves as an extension of his own personal interests and influences. Skate culture and his Southern California past are just some of the reasons why Vans has always been such an important brand to Williams.

This collection reintroduces the OG Style 138 LX, Authentic™ (Convertible) 43 LX and OG 29 LX, which are footwear silhouettes that haven't been used in over two decades, and utilizes a color palette authentic to both Vans history and the ALYX aesthetic.
