Coming out of Halifax with the raw power and aggressiveness of a sailor on shore leave, Kyle “Cap” Macdonald hit the Montreal scene, hooked up with Vans and Studio, and is making a name for himself in the Canadian scene.
Cap’s style brings it back to a simpler time in skateboarding. His clips show through as being natural, albeit stand-out, parts of a bigger session with his friends. He’s often skating the types of spots where you can put in a full day of skating, piecing together various ledge and a flatground lines. Macdonald always ups the ante though with his powerful pop, taking technical yet aesthetically pleasing ledge moves to new heights. A rare breed that takes the classics and improves upon them, but still leaves the essence of what made them classic intake, Cap and Vans are a perfect fit.
