Who isn't skeptical of overly positive vibes, especially cast from a lanky hippie? With his on-rail sermons and overall spryness, Daniel Lutheran's a master at converting the most jaded. Driven by joy, Dan Lu proudly embraces the role of skateboarding's psychonaut, proving that every battery in skating isn't solely charged with aggression. Sliding into a cozy slot on skateboarding's most irreverent roster, Daniel brought a new element to Toy Machine's longstanding go big, go artsy vibe with is debut in Brainwash (2010).
Living up to his personal mantra, "A smile is stronger than a middle finger," Daniel's managed to keep things light while taking on some of the heaviest terrains out. He's swung and slid his way to several covers including Thrasher, Transworld Skateboarding, and Skateboarder, quietly killing it with kindness, as well as bringing his cosmic calm to Thrasher's "King of the Road" multiple times. With a section in Vans Propeller (2015) that can only be described as beautifully terrifying and a string of equally Lutheran clips in Vans edits, Daniel continues to pave his way in bright, broad strokes.
