RSVP is now open for the final show of the summer which, from a musical perspective is the perfect tie in with the long history Vans shares with the hardcore scene. On July 6th, seminal post-hardcore band Quicksand and iconic metalcore group Converge will close out the Summer Series in what promises to be a truly memorable night.
These two influential bands will play to the perfect backdrop at House Of Vans which is currently hosting a one of a kind art exhibition showcasing the cultural intersection of punk, hardcore, rap and skateboarding in New York City in the 80's and 90's. It's a truly immersive experience which begins as guests approach House of Vans where they are treated to a special light installation customized by Ken Farmer that is inspired by a once flickering light existing several years ago on the building's burnt out marquee. The space also includes graffiti by iconic NYC artists WANE ONE and Stash, a massive collage using vintage NYC punk flyers by Scott Ewalt, and a fully functioning boombox wall commemorating '80s hip hop and street culture from Bayeté Ross Smith.
