The world’s top action sports contests and exclusive music events are at your fingertips with the free Vans Live 2.0 app, available now for Android devices at Android Market and soon wherever Android apps are available, joining the previous released version on iTunes for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Vans Live 2.0 brings you top Vans action sports events and music showcases as they happen with live, high quality event feeds, video and photo libraries and news updates as well as past events on demand such as the recently completed Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
Programming for Vans Live 2.0 kicked off in November with the pinnacle of big wave surfing, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing®, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink. Now Android and iTunes users can relive some of the best moments from this year's Triple Crown on demand including John John Florence's run to the World Cup eventual Vans Triple Crown overall titles and Kieren Perrow's march to the Billabong Pipe Masters win in epic Pipe conditions.
Being a part of the excitement at premiere action sports and music events has never been easier than with what the multi-platform Vans Live 2.0 brings you via 3G and WiFi connections. Opt-in for push alerts and you’ll receive notification that the “Event is ON” so you never miss any of the action. Facebook, Twitter and e-mail integration allows you to share photos and news with ease. In addition to contest action, the many live Vans events this year included performances from Public Enemy and Suicidal Tendencies, plus a live chat with Mastodon on the day of their latest album release.
