To celebrate the Vans x Yo Gabba Gabba! collection, characters Brobee, Foofa and Plex rolled by three Vans retail stores to meet and greet with fans over the past month. The characters stopped by Southlake Town Square in Dallas, TX, Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY and Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights, CA. Each event drew a giant crowd and tons of people went home with a free picture of their experience. Check out the photos and thanks for everyone who came out. Last Thursday night, Vans supported artist Dennis McNett opened his new show “Reaping Waves and Vital Vessels: The Passing of the Wolfbats” at a gallery in New York. Not only was the gallery full of his new work, there was a crazy viking parade around the streets of Chelsea, including two 30-foot viking ships, drummers and fireworks leading to the gallery. Talk about an art show; watch Dennis creating the work in his studio on OffTheWall.tv.

Vans and Shadow Conspiracy teamed up to shred Southern California and try out the new shoe that the two companies designed over the past year. Featuring Trey Jones, Alistair Whitton, Ty Morrow and Lahsaan Kobza, the four riders hit up the trails, streets and skateparks for some good times. The opening reception is going down tonight, but you can see their work until January 8th, 2011. It’s definitely worth checking out.

2011 is shaping up to be quite the summer. Six more bands have been added to next years Vans Warped Tour- The Wonder Years, Grieves with Budo, Winds of Plague, Miss May I, The Dangerous Summer and Woe and Is Me will be joining the first six bands announced last week. Tonight, Dec 16th, friend of Vans Dennis McNett is holding an exhibition, Reaping Waves and Vital Vessels: The Passing of the Wolfbats at the Joshua Liner Gallery in New York, NY from 6-9pm. As part of the exhibition there will be a silent auction including six pairs of Vans Classics shoes and six Vans white tees that been carefully hand-printed by Dennis. All proceeds will be donated to the Andy Kessler Foundation. The show run from December 16th - January 20th 2011. Also, keep your eye out for a special performance.

The first bands for the 2011 Vans Warped Tour have been announced with Go Radio, We Came As Romans, Dance Gavin Dance, Every Avenue and The Word Alive joining the whole tour kicking off on June 24th in Dallas, TX. Bands will be announced on a weekly basis leading up to the main stage band announcements on March 26th, so don't forget to keep checking back!
